STEP 1: UNDERSTANDING OUR PHYSIOLOGICAL SLEEP NEEDS
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Babies struggle to regulate their temperature and as a result often get cold or hot during the night. That's why developed Dagsmejan Stay warm baby pyjamas to help your child stay comfortably warm without overheating.
We work with academic partners and sleep experts and 30 real mums and babies also tested our new maternity and baby sleepwear. Their input was incorporated in the design. Read their testimonials.
STEP 2. CHOOSING THE NATURAL FIBRES
MERINO WOOL & EUCALYPTUS FIBRES
NATTWARM™ fabric consists of a blend of high-performing natural fibres that give you the ultimate breathable, warm sleep comfort. Lyocell from eucalyptus, nature’s high tech fibre, for breathable softness. Luxury merino wool for comfort and warmth.
The result? Sleepwear that is 4x more breathable than cotton and as warming as other fabrics up to 50% heavier.
SUSTAINABLE FORESTS
EUCALYPTUS FIBRES
Lyocell is a cellulosic fibre derived from eucalyptus trees and other sustainably grown trees. The wood and pulp we use come from natural forests and sustainably managed plantations. All fibres are certified with FSC® or PEFC™.
Eucalyptus requires 20 times less water than cotton and 5 times less high-quality farmland. Dagsmejan uses fibres from Lenzing, one of the most sustainable and ethical producers of any fibres worldwide.
ETHICAL, TRACEABLE, MULESING-FREE
100% TRACEABLE MERINO WOOL—NATIVA™
Merino wool is a fully natural and sustainable fibre. While synthetic fibres take between 20 and 200 years to biodegrade, merino wool take only 6 months to biodegrade.
The NATIVA™ wool used in our Stay Warm Baby collection comes from farms 100% mulesing-free certified. NATIVA™ merino wool is fully traceable and sustainable, and respects the environment, the animals and the people working along the Merino wool value chain.
STEP 3: THE YARN

The Dagsmejan Stay Warm yarn is bluesign® certified. A bluesign® certification ensures the highest level of assurance to consumers and guarantees that the products are manufactured with responsible use of resources and the lowest possible impact on people and environment.
STEP 4: FABRIC KNITTING & DYEING
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEETS SOCIAL WELFARE
The fabric producer for Dagsmejan Stay Warm ensures the highest standards not only in terms of environmental protection but also regarding the wellbeing of the workers. The processes are Oekotex 100 certified and as energy efficient as possible. No child labour is used and the company is committed to providing a safe work environment as well as social benefits and sufficient salaries to each worker.
STEP 5: SEWING THE GARMENTS

Dagsmejan sleepwear for babies is handmade by experienced garment makers. Quality control is made both internally and also by independent quality assurance companies.
All processes are Oekotex 100 certified, and as energy efficient as possible. A safe work environment, social benefits and sufficient salaries make Dagsmejan sleepwear truly ethical and sustainable.
