STEP 1: UNDERSTANDING OUR PHYSIOLOGICAL SLEEP NEEDS
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Babies don't always get the right amount of quality sleep they need. Temperature variations influence in particular the deep sleep phase, as a result babies are restless and also parents cannot enjoy the best sleep comfort.
We work with academic partners and sleep experts and 30 real mums and babies also tested our new maternity and baby sleepwear. Their input was incorporated in the design. Read their testimonials.
STEP 2: CHOOSING THE NATURAL FIBRES
MICROMODAL FROM BEECHWOOD
NATTWELL™ is made with Micromodal, a fibre extracted from a tree native from Europe called beechwood. Not only is this fabric well known for its incredible softness and exceptional moisture- and temperature-management properties, but it is also ecological and sustainable.

RENEWABLE, SUSTAINABLE AND EXTRA SOFT
THE MAGIC OF NATURAL FIBRES
The beechwood used for the Mum Balance collection comes from sustainably grown forests in Austria and neighboring countries. Dagsmejan uses fibres from Lenzing, the leader producer of cellulosic fibres and one of the most sustainable and ethical fibres producers worldwide.
The environmental impact of Micromodal is positive– it’s carbon-neutral, requires less land per tonne than cotton and the water consumption is 10 to 20 times less than that of cotton.
STEP 3: SPINNING THE YARN
ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE SOFTNESS
The beechwood fibres are spun into a super-fine and super soft yarn with one of the leading spinners in Europe. The process is both Oekotex 100 certified and ISO certified (9001, 14001, 50001).
We use a special eco yarn that is not bleached with chemicals but with oxygen, in order to create the most sustainable pajamas.
STEP 4: TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY
PATENTED SLEEP TECHNOLOGY
With a patented, permanent and eco-friendly technology beechwood fibres have been adapted to have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic features, so that babies can enjoy the benefits of evaporative cooling. Sweating during the night sleeping will no longer be an issue, and your baby will stay cool and dry all night long.
STEP 5: FABRIC KNITTING & DYEING
ECO-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGIES AND PRODUCTION PROCESSES
The manufacturing facilities for the balance fabric are certified for a “Sustainable Textile Production” (STeP).
This certification ensures the use of environmentally friendly technologies and processes, the efficient use of natural resources, as well as the compliance with labour conditions and social standards.
STEP 6: SEWING THE GARMENTS

The garment making is carried out according to the standards required in the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) Code of Conduct. Our garment makers have a tight network of trustworthy suppliers that deliver the highest quality trims. Moreover, internal and external quality control processes are done to ensure that the garments are checked at every step of the production.
STEP 7: PACKAGING AND DELIVERY
