THE JOURNEY FROM FIBRE TO SLEEP
Discover the journey behind our STAY WARM collection and learn more about our 100% traceable NATIVA™ merino wool, where each step of the production takes place and why Dagsmejan offers one of the most sustainable and ethical sleepwear available!
STEP 1: UNDERSTANDING OUR PHYSIOLOGICAL SLEEP NEEDS
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Each of our collection starts with a physiological sleep need, about 30% of people tend to get cold at night. When we are cold we start to shiver which can lead to us waking up or lowering our sleep quality.
We work with academic partners and sleep experts throughout Switzerland and across the world. Read more about our sleep experts.
Step 2. choosing the natural fibres
Merino wool & Eucalyptus fibres
NATTWARM™ fabric consist of a blend of nature’s performance fibres, that give you the ultimate breathable, warm sleep comfort. Lyocell from eucalyptus, nature’s high tech fibre, for breathable softness. Luxury merino wool for comfort and warmth.
The result? Sleepwear that is 4x more breathable than cotton and as warming as other fabrics up to 50% heavier.
Natural & sustainable forests
Eucalyptus fibres
Lyocell is a cellulosic fibre that is derived from eucalyptus trees and other sustainably grown trees. Wood and pulp used by Dagsmejan comes from natural forests and sustainably managed plantations. All fibers are certified with FSC® or PEFC™.
Lyocell needs 20 times less water than cotton and 5 times less high-quality farmland. Dagsmejan uses fibres from Lenzing, one of the most sustainable and ethical producers of any fibres worldwide.
Ethical, sustainable, mulesing-freee
100% TRACEABLE MERINO WOOL—NATIVA™
Merino wool is a totally natural and sustainable fibre. While synthetic fibres take between 20 and 200 years to biodegrade, merino wool take only 6 months to biodegrade.
We use NATIVA™ wool, which comes from farms that are certified 100% muleseing-free. NATIVA™ merino wool is fully traceable and sustainable, respecting the environment, the animals and the people working along the Merino wool value chain.

How Dagsmejan Merino Sleepwear helps you to sleep better
Always sleep at the right temperature
COMFORTABLY WARM AND 4X MORE BREATHABLE THAN COTTON
WHY? Cold nights not only might keep us awake, but can cause muscle tension, preventing us from getting a restful sleep and the rest we need.
HOW? A luxurious blend of the finest merino wool and Lyocell from eucalyptus ensures outstanding breathability with high thermal resistance, making sure you are comfortably warm without overheating. Merino wool sleepwear is proven to keep you as warm as other fabrics that are up to 50% heavier.
MOISTURE & TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT
NATURE’S BEST MOISTURE REGULATION
WHY? When we get too hot, our bodies start to sweat and the consequences are uncomfortably damp skin and clothing that prevent us from sleeping.
HOW? By combining two fibres with outstanding moisture management properties, you'll feel dry even if you sweat and thanks to the antibacterial unpleasant smells will be a distant memory. Lyocell is 50% better at moisture transport than cotton, and merino wool sleepwear can absorb 35% of their weight in moisture compared to 7% for synthetics.
EXTRAORDINAY FIT & COMFORT
MERINO PYJAMAS TO AVOID THE COLD
WHY? On average we move 50 times every night, and as we move cold air can touch our skin, reducing our body temperature and making us sleep uncomfortably.
HOW? Soft and comfortable warmth is combined with an extraordinary fit. Merino sleepwear has an ergonomic seams, a tagless design and stretchy waistbands that won't disturb you while you're asleep. The over-thumb sleeves will keep your hands as comfortable as the rest of your body and won't let the sleeves of your sleepwear move up during the night.
THE SOFTEST TOUCH
2X AS SOFT AS COTTON
WHY? Our skin cells start to regenerate during the night, making us more sensitive to touch.
HOW? Light and ultra-soft fabric, infused with merino wool, provides sensitive skins warm comfort all night. Experience the incredible softness of merino sleepwear.
