SUPER-FINE MERINO WOOL
Latest studies has shown that we can sleep up to 15 minutes longer with merino wool pyjamas by falling asleep faster and enjoying a deeper sleep.
Dagsmejan has introduced an ultra-light, breathable collection of merino wool sleepwear that keeps you warm and comfortable without overheating. Featuring a luxurious blend of nature's performance fibres, the finest Merino wool and Lyocell from eucalyptus— 2x as soft as cotton and 4x more breathable.
MERINO MAGIC
TEMPERATURE REGULATION: The natural structure of merino wool creates insulating air pockets, trapping more air than any other fibre and building a natural defence against the cold. If you get too warm the merino fibres transports the body's moisture vapour to the outside where they evaporate, keeping you comfortably cool. This makes merino wool pyjamas an all-year round solution for a great night's sleep and a great winter pajamas.
MOISTURE TRANSPORT—FAST DRYING: Merino fibres are excellent at regulating moisture, absorbing 35% of their weight before feeling damp to the touch. Most synthetic fabrics feel wet after absorbing just 7%. As an added bonus they are anti-smell, the merino wool fibre absorbs the odour and only releases it when you wash the garment again.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
We use mulesing free merino wool from farms in Tasmania, Uruguay, Argentina and New Zealand. Only a very small portion comes from Australia and then it’s certified mulesing-free yarn. Wondering what mulesing is? Basically it's a method used by some sheep farmers to prevent them loosing sheep to flystrike. Though the intention is good the practice is unnecessarily painful for the animal as it involves cutting away skin from the sheep’s back end. There are other ways to achieve the same result like regular shearing around the back. This is more expensive, but we believe it's worth the little extra cost for a happier sheep and a better sleep.
Our Nattwarm™ merino yarn is also bluesign® certified. A bluesign® is given to textiles that are sustainably produced and focuses on the elimination of harmful substances right throughout the manufacturing process for an environmentally friendly and safe production.
HIGH TECH LYOCELL FROM EUCALYPTUS
Lyocell truly is nature's high tech fibre; it's cooler than linen, it’s better than cotton at moisture management and even softer than silk.
Dagsmejan has developed a collection of featherlight, breathable sleepwear that keeps you warm and comfortable without overheating. With a blend of the finest merino wool and Lyocell from eucalyptus you can sleep deeper and longer— 2x as soft as cotton and 4x more breathable.
NATURE'S TECHNOLOGY FIBRE
TEMPERATURE REGULATION—Lyocell is more breathable than cotton, containing millions of invisible nanocapillaries in its fibres which allow excess heat to be released. As a result you never need to worry about overheating.
MOISTURE TRANSPORT: The unique structure of Lyocell means it offers 50% better moisture management than cotton. In comparison to polyester and synthetics, there is also much less moisture formed on the surface of the fiber for bacteria to grow. This gives Lyocell great anti-stink properties.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
Lyocell is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics around. The fibers are produced in a closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%. This way you can sleep easy knowing that your choice of sleepwear isn't contributing to an adverse impact on the environment.
MICROMODAL FROM BEECHWOOD
Dagsmejan's Nattwell™ fabric is based on a natural fibre called MicroModal, that is both soft on the skin and exceptionally ecological. The fibre is extracted from beech wood, a tree native to Europe.
Thanks to extensive research the key has been found to enhance the properties of the MicroModal fibre. This gives Nattwell™ fabric revolutionary moisture and temperature management properties—6x more breathable than cotton, 4x better at transporting sweat away from the skin
NATURAL SOFTNESS MEETS PATENTED SLEEP TECHNOLOGY
TEMPERATURE REGULATION—Nattwell™ fabric is packed with millions of breathable nanocapillaries. This helps to keep your skin temperature 1 degree cooler at night compared to cotton.
MOISTURE TRANSPORT: The natural moisture absorption properties of the fibre's core remain unchanged, while the outer layer is adapted to make it water resistant and repel moisture. The result? Exceptional moisture and temperature management properties keeping you in the ideal climatic zone for a deeper and longer sleep.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
Th MicroModal fibre is extracted from beech wood, a unique tree that has grown in Europe for thousands of years. MicroModal is produced using Edelweiss® technology, a production process that is low on energy usage and other resources. This makes Micro Modal an exceptionally ecological and sustainable fibre.
